Life Size Models Debut New Songs & Video

LSM_Cusack1984ImOnFire.jpg

San Jose alt-rockers Life Size Models have been busy in 2020! The band really solidified their sound and are taking the Bay Area music scene by storm, going to NAMM, recording at Tiny Telephone, releasing new songs produced by Doe Eye, and debuting an awesome music video. It’s wonderful to see a band I’ve loved since the beginning grow so much in every way that counts.

First LSM released a new version of their hit “Bayshore Freeway” on January 17th and dedicated it to founding member Vincent Gamboa, who co-wrote the original and sadly passed away in 2017. Then on February 27th, they released an awesome music video for the song, which got some coverage by Music Press Junkie. You can check out the video below!

On April 9th, LSM premiered their new singles “Cusack, 1984” and “I’m On Fire” via Live A Little Bit Louder. Those singles led to some great interviews in Breathing The Core and Vents Magazine, as well as being featured in The Prelude Press!

I’m honestly loving everything they’re putting out and really proud of all the hard work they’ve put in. It’s really opening doors for them and I can’t wait to see what’s next. I highly encourage you follow them on Spotify and check out the new music!!

Life Size Models Release New Single "Polar Nights"

LSM_PolarNights.jpg

San Jose indie rockers Life Size Models released their new single “Polar Nights” today! The song deals with the delicate topics of mental illness and depression that affects so many people, a disease that has taken the lives of a few close to the band members.

Not only is it a great ear-worm with an important message, it also samples a Ted Talk by Jake Tyler about depression, which adds a unique element to the tune that really hits hard on how depression can affect people.

“Polar Nights” is available on all outlets, including Spotify and SoundCloud, and has garnered some wonderful press from both PureGrainAudio and the Silicon Valley Metro. I highly recommend reading both articles as it gives some great insight on how the song came about, what it means to the band, upcoming shows, and what the future holds for LSM. Plus tune into ALT 105.3 Radio next Sunday to hear “Polar Nights” on Soundcheck!

Life Size Models Launch New Website

San Jose indie/alternative rockers Life Size Models launched their new website with new content, press quotes, and videos.  The band just finished a string of successful Bay Area shows, including a raved about performance at Bottom of the Hill in May.  LSM are also going into the studio the record new music, which I personally can't wait to hear.

Life Size Models Added To Booking Roster

Barb Rocks welcomes indie rockers Life Size Models to my booking roster!  Having met the band at a Balanced Breakfast meeting last year, I instantly recognized the raw talent and charm of this young quartet that remind listeners of The Strokes.  The band has already garnered attention from CMJ and is in regular rotation at local college radio stations.

I highly recommend you watch their video for "State of Mind" and listen to their debut EP Burden of Youth on Bandcamp!
